Hospitality and Events Manager

Bekynton is the central catering facility in Eton College and we predominantly cater for breakfast, lunch and supper for all the boys of 12 out of the 25 boarding houses. Bekynton currently serves around 15,000 meals per week over 37 weeks per year, equalling 555,000 meals per annum-and growing! 

Bekynton also prepares and delivers 32,000 packed meals for sports events around the campus, 9,500 hot and cold sports teas each year and has currently catered in 64 differing venues around Eton. Many community events are catered for with relish – like the provision of catering for House Events, Eton Action Fair and many other events where entertaining is required. 

As Hospitality & Events Manager you are to pro-actively lead the Eton College Hospitality team, driving high standards and excellent customer feedback. This is “hands on role” helping to ensure that the services provided are to the standard required by Eton College.

The Old Etonian Association (OEA) is a small, dedicated team supporting the alumni of Eton College. The alumni include senior people in all walks of life who value personal relationships and high standards of service. The OEA office is evolving - modernising systems, introducing new digital tools, and finding fresh ways to engage our alumni community.

You will be a key point of contact for alumni, delivering polished, friendly service while helping shape an organisation in transition. This is a hands-on, varied role for an organised, efficient person with a real interest in people.

Landscaper

With 1450 acres of land, we consider the outside areas of Eton College to be equally as important as the classrooms, particularly with all the Sports and Co-curricular activities available to the students.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced landscaper to join the large, supportive team who tend to all the grounds and outside areas of the College, with all the due care and consideration they deserve. 

The role will involve undertaking all landscape maintenance such as grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, meadow cutting, tree maintenance, fencing, shed building, Pinks and any other work directed by the Landscaper Supervisor or Deputy Grounds Manager. All works are to be carried out to an exceptionally high standard and in an efficient and effective way in line with departmental plans and programmes.

Gardener (Live in)

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, versatile, flexible and experienced Gardener to join the large, supportive team to tend to all the grounds and outside areas of the College, with all the due care and consideration they deserve.

In this role you will be responsible for the cultivation and maintenance of areas around Eton College and in addition you will also be responsible for the caretaking of the property and estate at Boveney Court.

Working under the guidance of the Gardens Supervisor and Deputy Grounds Manager/Grounds Manager/Property Manager you will help deliver seasonal garden plans, ensuring outdoor spaces reflects the high standards of Eton College along with supporting lettings and events.

Your time would be split spending four days a week working at Eton College and one day a week at Boveney Court. Due to the nature of the role additional works would be required outside of your normal working hours to support the running of Boveney Court. This is a ‘live-in’ role, meaning you will live in accommodation within College, this will be in the form of two-bedroom accommodation.
