George - Teacher of Physics
I am a
mountain leaderA little about me...
My role involves not only teaching physics but also inspiring the next generation of physicists. I take great pride in being part of this historic institution, which has a long history of excellence and producing individuals who contribute significantly to society. I love how physics can answer questions that people have always wondered about, such as why the sky is blue or why sunsets are orange. There's a special moment in the classroom when pupils grasp these concepts, and it's incredibly rewarding to see their curiosity and understanding grow.
Eton College is a unique place with its beautiful architecture and picturesque settings. The school's traditions and the magical atmosphere, especially during the winter months, add to the charm of working here. The sense of community here is strong. Living on-site with my colleagues fosters a close-knit environment, and the boys' enthusiasm and ambition make my job feel more like a fulfilling lifestyle than just work.

Anna - Head of English
I am a
pedlar of poetryA little about me...
Eton has supported my career development immensely, allowing me to become Head of the English Department here within three years of joining. The academic freedom here allows me to teach what I am passionate about, and the partnerships programme enables us to make a significant impact to pupils at state schools through outreach and enrichment activities. The boys at Eton are a joy to teach - fun, enthusiastic, and modest. The staff are incredibly talented, and full of energy, making it an exciting place to work.
Working at Eton offers incredible perks, such as attending an amazing programme of drama, societies, and speaker meetings. The holidays are outstanding, and the School ensures a clear boundary between work and rest, which I greatly value. The educational value at Eton is remarkable, too, with world-class resources like our amazing archive. My favourite place is the library, which is laden with the scent of knowledge and possibility. It's a remarkable place where I always leave with more than I arrived.

Andrew - Teacher of Economics
I am a
scouserA little about me...
I take great pride in my dual role as an educator and a lead for diversity and inclusion at Eton College. Teaching Economics is particularly rewarding because it's a dynamic subject with real-world applications. I strive to ensure that my pupils not only grasp the curriculum but also understand how to apply these concepts in diverse environments beyond Eton.
My role extends beyond the classroom. Working here allows me to live out my childhood dreams, whether it's coaching football or engaging with high-level music and culture. Watching the boys develop from 13-year-olds into confident young adults ready to face the world is a source of immense pride for me. Their enthusiasm and dedication make every day exciting and rewarding. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of my colleagues add to this richness, making Eton a place where continuous learning and personal growth are highly valued. Everyone is encouraged to be the best version of themselves.

Phil - Head of PE
and Teacher of GeographyI am a
stone studierA little about me...
At Eton, I wear multiple hats. As the Head of PE, I oversee the physical education program, ensuring that sports play a crucial role in the boys' development. A keen geologist, I also teach Geography, a subject I pursued further by earning a degree later in my career, thanks to the support of Eton. What I love most about working here is the sense of community and the shared vision among staff to improve the lives of those around us. The School's historic setting and beautiful architecture add to the unique atmosphere, but it's the people who make it truly special.
Eton supports my ambitions and encourages innovation, whether it's expanding the rugby club or starting new societies. The collaborative environment allows us to share our passions with the boys and help them develop into well-rounded individuals. Overall, Eton is a place where I can continuously grow as an educator and contribute to the boys' journey of self-discovery and excellence.

Sherisa - Teacher of Mathematics
I am a
sportswomanA little about me...
My journey to Eton is something I'm particularly proud of, having come from a local comprehensive state school and progressed through university to join Eton as a Graduate Assistant. Now, I am a full-time Master, deeply passionate about teaching mathematics and helping pupils excel in their exams.
In addition to teaching, I am involved in co-curricular activities, serving as the Master-in-Charge of fives and coaching cricket in the summer. Being the only female cricket coach at Eton, I find it rewarding to serve as a role model in a male-dominated sport, inspiring younger pupils to pursue their interests regardless of gender. The boys at Eton are down-to-earth and motivated, and the staff community is welcoming and supportive. My role as a Resident Tutor and department mentor has allowed me to grow professionally and personally, contributing to the vibrant and inclusive culture at Eton.
